Accurate Autonomous Navigation Without GNSS

Accurate underwater navigation is one of the greatest challenges facing autonomous platforms as GNSS isn’t an option in that environment. Desert WAVE, an all-female engineering team from Arizona State University, used a KVH high-performance gyro to provide accurate dead reckoning and was victorious in the U.S. competition.
